Hi:

I'm a civil engineer and I'm working, at this moment, in studies
referring to a bridge that will cross the River Plate. This river is
actually an estuary located in South America between Argentina and
Uruguay. The bridge would be 40 Km long joining Buenos Aires with Colonia
in Uruguay.
My part of the study is to determine the pier scour generated by
the bridge, but I face the problem that it is difficult to find
information about pier scour under tidal influence as almost all the
bibliography regarding pier scour is for rivers with only one direction
of flow.
I would highly appretiate any advise in how and where to find
information regarding this matter.

        Thank you very much

        Ricardo N. Petroni
