Zhang" <zhang@FRODO.MECE.UALBERTA.CA> To: Multiple recipients of list CIVIL-L <CIVIL-L@unb.ca> Date: Tue, 23 Apr 1996 00:01:54 MDT Subject: seeking collaboration Hi Everyone, A research group of Civil Engineering in a medium size Chinese University, Mainland China, is seeking research collaborations with universities and research institutes in Canada, UK, Germany, France and other European countries as long as English is used as the communication means. Current major research work of the group is concentrated on: 1: Non-linear Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Members Subjected to Compression, Bending, Shear and Torsion. 2: Repair and Rehabilitation for Seismic Resistance of Structures. 3: Study of Concrete Model Code for Asia Area. These projects are funded by China National Science Foundation, Sino-US Scientific and Technical Cooperative in Earthquake Engineering, China-Japan Cooperative Research. The group is also expanding its research projects into other areas of Civil Engineering, and wish to establish close collaboration with those, in these countries named above, who are interested in joint research. Currently this University does not have an email system, and I was appointed as an representative.
