Subject: Allowable bearing pressure of soil
Hi ...
I have a problem to determine the allowable bearing pressure of soil
using Static Cone Penetration Test for shallow foundation.
One book stated that allowable bearing pressure = qa = Q/40 kg/cm2
where Q is cone resistance in kg/cm2. Another book stated the safety factor
is about 3-5. If there anybody can help me, I would very much appreciate it.
