Subject:      Small dia. Tubualr Columns

         I am looking for some help on the calculation of allowable loads for a
small dia. (2.875 in.) column.  What is the basic column formula that I
should be using?  The column is tubular steel about 84 in in hieght.  I
want to know what the max. load on this column would be.
