Just >thought I would let you all know what we have encountered. When I have contractors that wish to use staples instead of nails I change the spacing to 1/2 that of the nails. Additionaly only 10 - 20% of the staple crowns can penetrate the skin of the sheathing. Hope this helps. Jay L. Crawford, P.E.
