Another is to send the drawings out as PDF (Adobe Acrobat files) which can be viewed or printed but not edited. I like using Acrobat since the recipient needs only to have the free viewer. Of course you can use the DWF (I think this is the format) which allows you to send drawings that can be viewed on an HTML based browser. This too can not be edited (I think this is true). Hope this helps Dennis -----Original Message----- From: Vince Yu [mailto:v.yu(--nospam--at)pickard.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 05, 1999 9:20 AM To: 'seaint(--nospam--at)seaint.org' Subject: RE: ACAD Protection Moni: I presume you are sending somebody your drawing files. One way to protect yourself is to send them plot (.plt) files. The recipients can plot them but not manipulate them in any manner. They can plot by executing a dos command like " copy s1.plt lpt1" assuming their plotter is set as lpt1. Thanks, Moni Serhal
